How they are computed

Dealer hedging, in three zones

Market makers hedge their option book by buying and selling the underlying. That hedging is mechanical, not an opinion. Knowing where it concentrates describes the zones where price tends to change behaviour. Every morning we give you those three zones.

Dealer hedging marks the zones where price tends to change behaviour.

Closing recap · Friday 25 Sep 2026

What price did with the zones

Every afternoon we post on X what the S&P 500 did with the three levels we sent that morning. This is a real day, not a sample: the levels are the ones from the 9:20 New York edition and the candles are that session's, five minutes each.

PUT WALL · FLIP · 7,700

A strong support to look for rejection

Both levels at the same price: the hedging that slows a drop and the regime change coincide. That morning it read as the zone to wait for the rejection, not to front-run it. The low was 7,693, and it came back.

CALL WALL · 7,750

Far from price: a zone for exits

46 points above the open, the upper wall marked how far an upside run could stretch before meeting hedging against it: a reference for getting out, not for getting in. It touched it seven times and closed right underneath.

IN CONTEXT

Not every day looks like this

Of the 21 sessions since 4 September, price reached a wall and turned in 9, broke one the same day in 8 and never reached either in 4. That is why we post the close every day, not just the good ones.

These are readings of that session, not a recommendation: entry, exit and risk are your system's call. Candles are the S&P 500 cash index, the same one the option chain is written on. Daily recaps on @OpenGEX.

No hype

Data, not opinions

What you get comes from the option chain, not from anyone's head. That is why it can be checked, and why it does not change with the mood of the day.

It comes from the option chain, not from anyone's head. It can be checked.

01 / THE WHOLE CHAIN

Every strike, not a sample

Open interest and greeks for the entire SPX option chain, strike by strike. The profile you see is the one there is.

02 / TODAY'S CHAIN

Computed the same day

Computed from the session's own chain at 9:20 New York. What you read is today's, not yesterday's close.

03 / NO SIGNALS

Nobody tells you buy or sell

We give you the prices where hedging changes behaviour. What to do with them is up to you and your system.

Before you ask

What people usually ask

Is this a buy or sell signal?

No. These are the prices where dealer hedging changes behaviour. What to do when price gets there is your method's call, not ours. We give no recommendations of any kind.

Do I need to know options?

No. You get three prices and a chart with one line that says how to read them. If you want the why, it is explained above.

When do the paid plans launch?

No date. We build them in the order the waitlist says people want them, which is why we show the prices now. Joining commits you to nothing and nothing is charged.

What happens when I join a list?

You get an email to confirm your address. From then on you receive the free newsletter every morning. The day your plan launches, a single email with the link; for Pro, at the founder price if you are among the first.
